When John went racing . . .  (Run DMC?)

As a kid in the 80's, I read about the DeLorean development story - and it always seemed a shame that the car never performed as wildly as it looked.

The DMC-12 ended up way to heavy and underpowered - however, there were DeLorean twin turbo development cars running in '81 which outpaced both the Ferrari 308 and Porsche 928 - but the Company failed before it could productionise a turbo version.

Given the development links to Lotus motorsport, it's been fun to envisage a DMC ProCar race model: a one-make series supporting the F1 calendar.
